An investigation alleges, among other things, that LaVergne Fire Marshal Victor Woods mishandled two fire investigation scenes and violated city policies.

A recent fire determined to be arson occurred at Specialty Arms II on Christmas Day.  Woods reportedly allowed the business owner to walk inside the burned out business before ATF agents had completed the official investigation into the cause.  The City of LaVergne said that could have compromised the investigation.

Woods also failed to respond to a residential fire until nearly fours hours later.
